My 2013 Favorite Things Are Here To Stay
When I look back through my phone photo gallery, I am amazed at all the cool things we (me & my family) were able to do during this year. It’s funny but some of the things, I actually forgot until I saw the pictures. I said to myself, “Man,I am really grateful!” This post is more about some of my favorite things I have come across this year. If I think long and hard, I know it’s A-LOT more but these are a few favorites that were introduced to me in 2013! Enjoy!
My baby shower was on January 5th, 2013 and it started my year off with a bang! We didn’t know what were having (well the hubby knew) and the theme was He, She #3! Everything was Pink, Blue & Black and White! I cut open a cake and revealed a Baby Boy would soon be added to our family! See the 35 second video reveal HERE. I honestly would have never went into this restaurant if it weren’t for a blogger tasting. It’s a Greek American restaurant, and I never would have thought I would find something tasty. I was SO WRONG. Not only was their food good, their steak wraps made my day! I don’t eat a lot of beef, but these wraps and their O-SO-SWEET Limeade have a special place in my heart!
This was the year of Instagram and on it came a lot of challenges for many to take on! I must admit, I tried to do them all! Did I ever make it to the finish line? Honestly not really. I didn’t follow them to the end, but I still did the exercise. Just my own version. 
My favorite NEW at home skin care treatment is the Sour Cream Facial. I blogged about it earlier this year too. I saw this on IG too! It makes my face soft and gives me a mini-face lift feel when I take it off. The eye patches are great too!
This was amazing! I entered two years in a row and didn’t get selected, but the year I have a baby I GET THE EMAIL!! My newborn was 7 weeks old when we were invited to participate in the White House Easter Egg Hunt. I am so glad we went! My kids can say, “I was on the yard of President Obama!” OMG!
I enjoy working out, but mostly barefoot. I also know that is not good for me so I searched for the next best thing. I love my Vibrams and wouldn’t trade them in at all! I am mad that I have been natural since 2007 and waited until 2013 to buy this FHI HEAT hair dryer! It’s made a world of difference in the time it takes to get my hair dry with ease! One Month To Live makes you want to live your life with NO REGRETS! It’s worth revisiting yearly because it’s easy to revert back to your old habits.
YouTube can be your best friend and it was when I created this fancy hair style. I saw this hair style on a red carpet and looked up natural up do’s on YouTube and whaalaa > there it was! I took my time and created my version. I have received so many compliments and video request when I wear this. I just need to sit down and do it! I love Chick-fil-a but would NEVER buy their full size salads. Why? Because I am a cheap. The side salad is good enough for me. I was given a FREE FULL SIZE salad this summer when their NEW salads debuted and OMG! I find myself buying that Asian Salad over and over again. Even if it is $7 with tax! I bought this blending sponge at TJMaxx for $5. I don’t wear makeup often, but when I do I want to look like I don’t have any on. I love the natural look. Again, I saw this on IG and went to get one. It really makes your makeup blend in well.
These were a few of my 2013 favorites!! I can’t wait to see what 2014 is going to bring!
