9 WAYS THE DISNEY EXPERIENCE APP ACTS AS YOUR PERSONAL CONCIERGE #WALTDISNEYWEDNESDAYS

9 WAYS THE DISNEY EXPERIENCE APP ACTS AS YOUR PERSONAL CONCIERGE #WALTDISNEYWEDNESDAYS

There’s an app for that!

No matter what you need, want, or even think about, there’s a real app for that. Disney is no different. Last year they debuted the My Disney Experience app that’s designed to make your Disney World experience more enjoyable.

Last month I was able to enjoy it first hand at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

What is the My Disney Experience App?

My Disney Experience App is the official app for the Disney theme parks. It’s a one-stop shop for everything you need to maximize your experience at Disney World. During the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, although its very fun, we have an agenda which calls for us to be in attendance in all 4 parks at different times. When I did get free time with my family, the app allowed us to get the most out of every attraction in the given time frame. It’s so much more than a map on your phone.

Here are 9 ways the My Disney Experience App Makes made our visit more enjoyable:

Find Your Favorite Characters
Where’s Mickey or Princess Tiana? Part of the fun of visiting Disney World is seeing the characters. You’ll be able to locate the characters around the park and get your autograph books signed. Your kids will thank you for this!

Easy Exploration
The app has GPS-enabled maps that show your location and the attractions, restaurants, shops and more near you. Which makes everything easier to find.

Food Menus & More
Browse tasty offerings in advance when picking the perfect spot for your next family meal. You can view menus for dining locations for all of the parks.

Wait Times
When you’re able to see the wait times, you’re able to choose your rides wisely! Lines can be up to 3 hours (especially if you’re waiting for the new Pandora). The My Disney Experience app gives you wait times in real time. This gives you the option of riding a different ride to maximize your time and visit.

Restrooms
With three kids, someone always has to go. It’s was awesome to pull up an app to see exactly how close we are to a restroom versus asking someone or walking around hoping to find it.

PhotoPass
We bought the Memory Maker which allowed us to take pictures all over the park that will be uploaded to My Disney Experience almost immediately. With our app, we were able to see our pictures in a few minutes on our phone. I was able to send a few to my mom.

Attractions & Events
It seems like Disney has thousands of attractions and events! Ok, I’m exaggerating but it’s hundreds for real. With the app, you can get a detailed description of the attractions with height and age requirements, hours, location and directions.

FastPass+ & Magic Bands
I’ve always said that if you go to Disney, it’s worth it to get a Fast Pass! Skipping the line is the same as ‘Following your bliss!’. With this app, you can select and modify your party’s FastPass+ experiences and manage your Disney Resort reservations, tickets, MagicBands, and cards.

Skip the line
We all know that just getting entering Disney is an experience in itself. You park, ride a shuttle to the front and then board a boat or train (if you’re going to Magic Kingdom) only to stand in line to buy tickets and another line to enter. The My Disney Experience App allows you to buy park tickets on the app and just show your barcode at the gate for admission when you first get to the park! There are no ticket booth lines to stand in or e-tickets to print out. Sign in using your fingerprint instead of entering a password with TouchID (available on iOS only).

After using the app, it’s hard to imagine enjoying our vacation without it. We also used the Disney Cruise line app when we boarded the Disney Dream. These apps are free to download on Andriod and Apple.
