March is Women’s History Month and I was given the pleasure of interviewing Charlene Dance. I think it’s awesome because she is the Global Marketing Director of a product (African Pride) that I grew up using, in addition to a product (Beautiful Textures) that I currently use. It is always nice to speak to the person behind the brand!
Mother, wife and business woman, Charlene Dance wears many hats including being one of the youngest woman in the beauty industry as a Global Marketing Director for an international hair care brand. Charlene has directed the launch & relaunch of Strength of Nature’s professional hair care brands Elasta QP, Mega Growth Profectiv, African Pride and most recently Beautiful Textures TMS System.

It’s always great to see people you know do well and follow their dreams. I feel this way about my friend Harold “House” Moore. We attended college together at Alabama State University and we were really good friends back then. We laughed and joked often backed then and even talked about what we wanted to do in the future. At the time, I believe Harold was more into basketball but by the end of his days at ASU was hit by the modeling/acting bug. Continue Reading
Mary Mary season 3 debuts on WeTV Thursday, February 27 at 9pm! Don’t worry, Scandal comes on at 10!!
Last week, WeTV along with Erica and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary premiered the first episode of their 3rd season of MARY MARY at Word of Faith’s Riverside Epicenter in Atlanta, Ga. and spoke about the upcoming season and what we can expect. Let’s just say, they keep it all the way real! I love that these women are Christian singers, and live what they sing. It’s not just a show or a game, but this is real life. They let the cameras show some very uncomfortable things that allow US, the viewer to see that everything is not always glitter and gold just because you sing about Jesus!! Life happens to us all. Thursday afternoon I was given the opportunity to meet and interview actress & TV show host, Malinda Williams for Tastemaker Magazine. Hello everyone! I’m Rochelle of rosereddsaid.com
. I’m so grateful to Bernetta for having me here on Bernetta Style! My blog is all about lifestyle…the mama/wife lifestyle that is. So, that always brings me to a place where I have to make something with little time and a limited budget!
I wanted to share some FREE Easter printables with you all today. I’m also a designer and crafter (twotearsinmybucket.com
) and I KNOW it helps to have some freebies to get your creative mojo going sometimes. Especially when a holiday is fast approaching!
Make some cute treat bags with the circle printables! Puch a hole in them, add some ribbon, curl the ends with scissors and BOOM…instant cuteness!
I made this cute treat box with an electronic die cutting machine BUT…you can find a pillow box or a teat box in Hobby Lobby and cut the circle out of the middle of one of the printables and adhere it to your favor box.
Here is another idea! Buy some glassine bags or small brown paper bags and adhere one of the square printables. I think the pink on a brown paper bag would be so adorable!
Now, he is the fun part! INVITATIONS!!! I simply cut them out, and matted them with some darker colored card stock. Drop these in the mail or take them to your child’s class. They’re super cute and help set the theme for your little Easter Egg Roll!
I hope you are inspired to create a fun and fabulous Easter party for your family and friends!
