New Season, New Watch (JORD Watch Giveaway)

I’ve been in Florida exactly 6 months this February. Moving here from Georgia has truly been an eye opening experience. Just like seasons change, I’ve seen myself grow in the past 6 months by allowing myself to accept certain things about my new surroundings. 

We moved to Florida in the middle of the summer. Why did I do that?

The week I moved here, it rained for 7 days in a row. It then continued to rain for another month. The rain alone made me think I might have made a mistake, until I learned that Summer is Florida’s rainy season. Rain also represents new beginnings. 

The very day the season changed to Fall, the rain stopped and the weather was beautiful. It felt like I woke up to vacation weather every morning. I started meeting people at events around Florida and learning the new culture around my area.

As winter approached, I entered into a new season.

I turned 40.

Turning 40 brings out so many emotions and it makes you reflect on your life in many different ways. I am grateful that I made it to 40 with a great husband, children & friends who I love and respect. 

During my new season of enlightenment (what I call turning 40), I wanted to treat myself. I deserve to treat myself. Who doesn’t believe that sometimes you just need to get something you really want.

For me it was 2 things:

1. a Whitney Mero dress I’ve had my eye on!
2. a beautiful JORD Wood Watch!

I’ve wanted one for sometime but the unselfish part of me bought my husband one first for Christmas (2015). He loved it and always receives compliments on it.

My Frankie has a sapphire crystal glass and deployment buckle with push buttons. If my wrist get to big, it comes with extra wood latches to adjust the size. 

When I look at my watch, it represents simple beauty and that I am in a totally new season in my life. I look at my watch and think of:

• new friends that have showed me what Tampa has to offer.
• new experiences that have allowed me to grow as person.
• new outfits! I have to step my fashion game up to rock this honey!! 

The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time.  – Source
