The Peanut Movie Makes It’s Big Screen Debut in Atlanta

The Ludacris Foundation alongside The Ryan Cameron Foundation hosted a VIP red carpet screening of 20th Century Fox’s new family film, THE PEANUTS MOVIE, on Tuesday, November 3rd at Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta.

The Peanuts Movie

“Mommy, we haven’t been to any movies lately!”

“Well, I was going to surprise you, but you are going to see The Peanuts Movie tonight!”

Screams filled the air! My children love a good movie. I also enjoy watching movies with them because I am able to discuss what were their take-a-ways, likes and dislikes.

After the film, my children both expressed their love for the movie. Honestly, I was indifferent. I didn’t like that Charlie Brown was so negative. He constantly thought he was a loser and Ms. Lucy continuing to make him feel worse didn’t help. You know I am all about positivity!

I started to discuss the movie with my children and after hearing their viewpoint – I felt better.

What was your favorite part?

  • My daughter’s response | I like when Charlie Brown saw the new girl come into the class and was scared to say hello.
  • My son’s response | I like all the stories Snoopy came up with. He’s creative.

What is the biggest lesson you learned?

  • Always be BRAVE!
  • Do not be afraid of anyone or anything.
  • Take the risk, because you will never know the outcome.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace – embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.

Peanuts Movie

I loved that my children saw life lesson’s in the movie and that Charlie Brown gained a great sense of self confidence in the movie. The 3D effect made it more enjoyable as Snoopy dreamed up some fun scenarios that seemed to come to life right in front of our eyes.

Throughout the movie, you heard children laughing at different scenes which is always a good sign. I’m glad my kids enjoyed the movie and will remember to Dream Big and Be Brave!

I’m hoping Z actually goes in the theatre to see it. This will be our first attempt at a movie. I really want to see it too. That Lucy is still a mess.
