6 Things My Husband Does to Turn Me On (That He Doesn’t Even Know)

turn me on

When you first start dating someone, different things might float your boat or make you tingle (so to speak). You might like the way he looks, because of course we want a fine man! You might like the way he smells or even kissing your neck (or that spot) could send you to the moon. When you are dating, him just walking in the room with his swagger (<– is this still a trendy word?), makes you look into your future and see wedding bells. turn me on

Ooooh how things change after you say, “I do!”

I have been married for 11 years, and with so many ups and downs of marriage, sometimes he can walk into the room and I don’t even notice. And yes, my husband is still very attractive and wears nice cologne, but if we can’t pay a bill, the last thing I am thinking about is his face! Over these 11 years of marriage, 3 kids and growing as woman, certain things about my husband give me the “turn up” feeling inside. What I love is, my husband doesn’t even know, because he doesn’t do these things on purpose. These are qualities that he already has and when he shows me these things, it could be on at any time! Well, not anytime …. we have 3 kids!! Hmph!

Worship

Picture 1 of 6

I met my husband at church. He worshiped before we were married and that hasn't changed 11 years later. It's nothing for me to look over and see my husband praising God, saying "Thank You Jesus" for the smallest things throughout the day, or just giving God glory with his lifestyle. When I see him praising God, it makes me more grateful for him. A man who loves the Lord and isn't afraid to express that with raised hands, singing, and prayer is worth his weight in Gold.

I can so relate. One of the things that turns me on from my husband is basically him walking out the door every morning and doing those 8 hours and sometimes more to provide for us.

Loved this B! I love when my hubby surprises me with just little things and he’s finally realized after all these years that those are the things that make my “liver quiver” too! LOL

I must admit it doesn’t take much for me to be turned on by my husband. But the simple gesture of guiding me through a crowd really does it for me. Great post B!

Great post — I’m sure he’ll feel extra special when he reads it! You’ve helped me to see and appreciate the little things my husband does for our family. The other day, he mopped the floors, and girrrrrrlllll…

I LOVE this post!! I’ve been married for 11 years too, and sometimes I’m not the easiest person to love. My hubby is SUPER supportive and loves me flaws and all and he’s an AWESOME father to our children. Thank you for inspiring me to write a post about my hubby. πŸ™‚

This is by far the cutest post I have ever seen and made me think of the way my husband turns me on…
Loved it especially him washing dishes.
I absolutely loved that part. I hate washing dishes too and cleaning the bathroom…ugh! But he takes care of this too.

    Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed your posts. I am glad you took time to honor your husband with this. One of the things that turns me on that my husband does is yard work…Especially when he is chopping wood for our fire pit…Also he is a great cook and does an awesome job keeping a clean house. We do not have kids but He does have busy days as a pastor but still makes time to make me his priority. I am forever grateful for that.

Yes! A man in Christ is worth so much, and one of the things I love the most about my hubby. His Faith in God makes a difference.

This is so beautiful! Loved this post. It’s truly a blessing to have God-fearing, worshiping husband. Now you have me over here making a list in my head! I think what really turns me on is when my husband makes breakfast for me. It’s really a big deal because he rarely cooks and he works late nights. Seeing him in that kitchen flipping pancakes does something to me!

You have such a beautiful family!

Yes Mrs. Bernetta Style! I love a good love story. This is so beautiful. I am learning in this thing called love and marriage the turn on is so different from the dating days. When my husband tells me to have the toddler ready in 20 minutes, I really do want to jump his bones because a mommy day off is the one thing I crave the most (besides food these days.)
Oh and when he does the dishes I’m like dude we are already expecting. LOL! Love

Such an inspiring article. My husband is not a romantic type of guy so anytime he leans over and touches me, makes my heart jingle. When he pulls me next to him at night so that we can be close, makes my heart skip a beat. But, the best part is to watch him preach and teach God’s word…a little ironic getting mesmerized while he is as spreading the good news. #blacklove

Girl….let me tell you about that washing dishes hunty cause I can’t stand them either!!! And I’m soooo grateful my hubby takes that over 98% of the time! Lol but I loved this post Bernetta and def agree with how things have changed in terms of what turns me on, much of what you mentioned in this post πŸ™‚

This is simply beautiful! How great to honor and show appreciation for your love! So often, we see representation of our men in such a unflattering light and I want to thank you for showing the truth behind the lies! It is such an amazing gift to have a God-fearing, man at your side! May you both continue to grow together and walk in your destiny!

I don’t have a hubby but these are great qualities.. Your first item is the one thing i so desire in a mate. One who will worship God like it’s just the two of them. And because I am serious about my prayer life, I definitely want someone will pray over us, our marriage and family. Girl you are blessed! I”m inspired πŸ™‚
