3 Facts About Ebola: How You Can & Can’t Get the Virus

We can’t turn on the tv, be online or scroll through FB without seeing an update on the Ebola virus. It’s scary, there is no doubt about it. What I hear from people is that we (the people) are not being told the complete truth.

How can you really get Ebola? It makes you wonder because both nurses were supposedly in the correct protective gear but still got the virus.

Is it really airborne? Hmmmm I hope not.

Well, the White House sent out an email with specific facts about Ebola. I hope this helps!

1. You CAN’T get Ebola through:

  • Casual contact with someone who has no symptoms of the disease
  • Air
  • Water
  • Food in the U.S.

2. The only way a person can get Ebola is through direct contact with the bodily fluids of someone who is already showing symptoms of the disease.

3. If a person does not have symptoms, they are not contagious.

I live in the Dallas, TX area and it is all kinds of covereage on it here. I don’t know if its the media coverage of it or what. But, if you can imagine living here in the City and State where the 1st case was diagnosed its all over the tv and radio.
I will say this, I do believe that it is more contagious than what they are saying to the public, they are doing way too much if it can only be transmitted in the ways you described. I can’t even began to list all of the things they are doing,.. I mean really trying to track down about 600+ people that flew on the same airplane as the second nurse, I mean why is that needed if you can’t get it from the air, and only from bodily fluids??
I don’t know, I’m not to worried about it, but I can say that all of the coverage it is getting is kind of making it seem maybe worse than it should..
