Kroger is actually my grocery store of choice. I find myself in there a few times a week. I know every isle and what to find where. Over the last 6 years, I started to study more what’s in my food. From drinks, fruits & veggies, processed foods and of course meat. I stopped eating certain things and cut back on others.
In 2014 Kroger is focusing on Local Products, Price & Variety. So I was very pleased when Kroger invited me to their store with other bloggers and shared with us The Simple Truth. It’s their exclusive brands of affordable and delicious natural and organic foods that represent the joy of eating closer to the way nature intended. In addition to the Simple Truth line, they have a growing variety of gluten-free, wheat-free and diary-free items that can be found throughout their stores.
A Few Simple Truth Facts:
- All Simple Truth items are free from 101+ artificial preservatives and ingredients.
- Simple Truth & Simple Truth organic meat and poultry is never treated with antibiotics, hormones or steroids.
- Added 100 new items in 2013 and another 100 coming in 2014.
- Currently more than 600 items (not one every store) and in 47 categories.
We are also a coupon family so although these items are all natural and organic, Kroger offers coupons for these items too!
Over the course of event, we were able to meet with many of the natural brands that are actually on the Kroger shelves. They explained what their product is and how it benefits us. Oh, and we were able to sample, sample and sample some more!
