I had never heard of the egg white facial until I saw my friends picture/post on FB.
FB is the news isn’t it! LOL! I have found about so many things (good & bad) on social media first. Ok, that’s another post. My friend Yolanda, who is the creator of Seeing it Their Way posted this video one day and of course, I had to try it. She also has some great hair tutorials too! I have Hair Envy when it comes to her!! Love her BIG HAIR!
Benefits of an Egg White Mask:
1. It helps to tighten your pores (Wrinkle Prevention) – Soon after you apply this mask, your skin will start to feel tight as it dries. Some people believe its effects are similar to a short-term facelift. At the bare minimum, the egg whites tighten pores and remove dead skin cells.
2. It removes black heads – It was amazing to see my black & white heads on that mask once I pulled it off. It was like the eggs went deep into my pores and grabbed them out! If you do it right, meaning no talking after you apply it and let it dry all the way – you should be able to see the blackheads come out. It’s better than squeezing your nose, which I am guilty off.
3. Skin is less oily – Egg whites draw oil from the pores while tightening the skin. I don’t have oily skin so I really never noticed this benefit.
I also found out you can add a few strawberries too (mashed up of course). The strawberries act as an astringent and are great for oily skin. They are loaded with Salicylic Acid which is a great treatment for acne too. You can also had honey for a skin moisturizer.
Conclusion: I do this mainly on date/special event nights, because for me it’s serves as a mini natural face lift.

September 18, 2013 at 6:56 pmSo which do you like better, egg whites or sour cream? I think they seem to do different things, but I like the sound of the egg whites lifting… Hubs might find me pilfering eggs from the fridge.

September 20, 2013 at 9:26 pmI am so terrified of eggs that I can not imagine doing this facial. Sad but true! I can appreciate the benefits but I would probably pass out at the sight of the egg being cracked, lol! #truestory
