Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday :: Do Extra

I saw this on a friends facebook page today. I stopped and LIKED it.
I really LIKED this because I believe this statement is so true. It seems today, people only want to do the bare expected minimum. I remember during this past school year my son had many assignments to complete, for example, write 5 sentences on this topic. My son would only want to write 5 sentences, even if what he needed to explain took seven. “Mommy she said I only have to write 5!”
I had to explain many times that you CAN ALWAYS DO MORE that what your teacher is expecting. I am sure she will appreciate it. And that goes for me (and you too) as well. Going the extra mile is never expected but it sure appreciated when it’s done. I am sure if you make it a habit to go the extra mile with everything you do, you will see results that make you feel good on the inside (and outside depending on who you go the extra mile for!).

Happy Hump Day!

    Yes that extra mile is one that most people don’t travel its a lonely place. More will make you stand out from the crowd. Great lesson

    That’s a great lesson to teach your kids, because like you said MOST people do the bare minimum. It’s the people who go above and beyond who are more successful.

    I had to learn that going the extra mile means you get more credit. I did the same thing when I was his age!

    That is so true. I’m realizing that in order to achieve what I am hoping to accomplish that I am going to have to put in extra work because I have a few obstacles in my way.
