This is a dress I bought at the Shop a Bloggers Closet! H&M $10 |
Hello wonderful ladies! How was your weekend? Mine was jammed packed but I won’t go over every detail. I did write about my fab Mommy & Me day on another post, check it out!
Last week in the world of maternity was a real experience. For the most part I felt good until, I almost passed out. Yep. Almost.
Last Thursday, I went walking with the Mocha Moms (they go walking every Thursday). Well, I walked a little over a mile and then had to go back to work. Well, after I left them I stopped at Chik-fil-a and went inside to order. While waiting on my food, I started to get real light headed. And then my hearing started to fade. I held on to the counter praying God, “Please don’t let me fall out in front of these people!” I opened my lemonade and just started to drink as fast as I could. I was still light headed and sat down at a table for a minute. I was so grateful, I wasn’t driving. Eventually, I got my bearings back and felt normal although my hearing slowly faded back in. After calling the doctor, she told me that what I was experiencing was what happens right before a person passes out! WHAT!!
Basically, I walked too fast, too long WITH NO WATER! I need to drink more water. POINT BLANK. PERIOD. So, of course the hubby has been all over me since Thursday with water. I appreciate it. My husband gets mad if I cut a finger while cooking, so he was super concerned about this. He just doesn’t like me to feel pain. I am grateful for that.
Now on to the weekend. Friday night, I hosted the Mocha Moms “Secret Lives of Mocha Wives” and it was JUICY! I have no pictures or commentary because that was one of those vegas nights! Loved it! Saturday, I was invited to “Shop a Bloggers Closet!”. It was an event hosted by Fab Bloggers, The Baby Shopaholic, Lexi with the Curls and The Fashionista Next Door. These ladies had $5, $10 and Designer racks. Shoes, Coats, & Accessories too! I only went there with a $20 limit, so I got two dresses. I wanted so much more, but I MUST BE DISCIPLINED! This was a real sale not to be missed.
After B & I left there, we traveled over to Babies R Us for a Graco tutorial on their newest car seat. It fits a newborn from birth to 40lbs or age 2! The laws have changed since my youngest was born. You now have to keep your child facing backwards until the age of two, and this seat is the first seat designed for just that! One lucky attendant won the seat! It wasn’t me. But I am going to another Graco Event this week so more details to come later.

October 22, 2012 at 3:09 pmI stayed about to pass out with my last one. I despise water and I had to make it a priority. I kept the amount of juice I bought to a minimum in an effort to force me to drink water.
I am so sorry I missed the shop a blogger’s closet event. I took the kids to Thomas the Train. I love your daughter’s pose!

October 22, 2012 at 3:55 pmDeakin faced backwards until he was two (the law changed a month or two before his 1st birthday). It wasn’t that big of a deal for him because he didn’t know any different and he doesn’t have long legs.
Keep a case of water in your car Mrs. Mommy on the Go, so that you will never be without!!!

October 22, 2012 at 4:43 pmYikes! Almost passing out sounds very scary…especially when you are pregnant. I’m glad that you had a beverage nearby to help prevent that and have been reminded about the importance of staying hydrated. It’s great that you have such a supportive husband to help you on this journey.
Okay…your daughter is TOO cute. Seriously. Beautiful. And you are looking like quite the fabulous mommy-to-be! It doesn’t look like you even needed to go to the shopping event!

October 22, 2012 at 4:55 pmI wanted to win that SnugRide Click Connect 40 too! But the one from our event went a mom who needed it. Her baby is due pretty soon and JJ already has a new car seat, but it would have been nice to have a car seat for number 3 since JJ’s might be expired by that time.
