Motherhood Monday

Why am I glowing? Greybie, maybe?

Well well well…. it’s that time. I haven’t blogged in a while because I have been emotionally going through! I received some news months ago that shook me to my core. It shocked me because, it was just so unexpected. I literally had to wrap my mind around this one. Get to it already…. what is it?

I am prego! Yep. Pregnant!
A couple months ago, I went to Chicago and decided to take a pregnancy test before I went. We were going for a wedding and knew we were planning on kicking it WELL! I was also on a two month break from birth control. I was also reading that damn 50 SHADES OF GREY! If you mix all three books of 50 Shades with no birth control you get, “PREGNANT!” (A Greybie!)
What happened was, I removed my IUD because it was giving me headaches, acne & body aches. I said I will give my body a 2 month break on hormones and then get back on a low dosage pill. Well, the week I was supposed to start back on my pill, WHALA! Test positive!
Why was it shocking? It was shocking because it was unexpected. My husband and I recently agreed we were happy with our two even though he wasn’t willing to get snipped! He asked me was I playing a practical joke on him when I told him. I almost slapped him! In addition to the fact that we HAVE NOTHING FOR A BABY! We gave away or sold everything we had!
We found out pretty early and we didn’t tell anyone until I was 9 weeks. Now I have rounded out my first trimester and starting my 13th week and I feel better. I now have a peace about it and understand it’s just Gods plan for my life. My children are EXCITED! What’s funny is before we told them they started asking for another little brother named Tony (Power Ranger).

So what now?

Well before I found out I was expecting, I did Zumba consistently. Since I got the news, Zumba was hard on me at first. So I started walking everyday. I get up at 5:30ish and walk for about 45 minutes before my household wakes up. I tried Zumba last week, and I was glad to say I could keep up.
With my first two children I gained 70 pounds rounding out my birth delivery weight at 205 and 210!! I refuse to get that big with this one. My goal is the 25-35 pounds you are supposed to gain with your child, hence the morning workouts. I actually just want to be all belly with this baby.
I invite you to join me if you are pregnant and need a motivation partner. I also invite you to keep an eye on me as I progress into this 3rd (and final) pregnancy with motivation, tips, and more as I try to keep my weight down and my fashion cute.
I will be doing a new segment every Monday called Maternity Monday, with updates, give-a-ways and product reviews.
Pray for me yall!!

I am so excited to see where this wonderful journey will bring you. As you, I felt the same way and maybe even more so. I was so excited that my older two were able to do for themselves and getting more independent as the days went by. Also I had my boy and my girl… I was good! Then low and behold here comes #3. I have to say life has not been the same…. she is truly a joy as much as a little trouble maker but I would not change it for the world. Welcome to the club my dear friend… and it IS a fabulous one. #Early 1#

We did the same thing (donated EVERYTHING) before our “bonus track”. But you know what – GOD PROVIDES! It will all work out and the blessings will continue to flow! Good things happen to good people – and you fit the bill 🙂 CONGRATULATIONS!!! Looking forward to seeing you rock this pregnancy with style and finess! MUAH!

Congrats Bernetta!! This is my story to the tee the 3rd time around except for the birth control! So I know exactly what ur saying when u say unexpected, and I still hadn’t rapped my head around being pregnant again (and having ANOTHER BOY) until like a week before he was born. As u stated though God is in control & knows what’s best… keep me posted on Shower details & delivery date, we can have playdates…. 😉 ~Agwina

B, I was cracking up when my mom told me of the conversation you two had about “unplanned pregnancy “. I laughed cause I see where it totally went over her head what you were trying to tell her.

I am so excited for what God has “planned” for you and my brother. I have been able to enjoy you and my God-niece and God-nephew through him.

I can’t wait for the baby shower (they are always great)

Love ya B, and congratulations to you and Earl

It’s gonna be a good one because it will be the FINAL one! And yes, I was laughing at your mom too! But I know it was unexpected so I didn’t think she would think I was serious. But when I told her, her mouth dropped! It was so funnY!

Congrats to you & Earl……The power of prayer! Thinking back to January Vision Pre-K class were praying for babies, everyone wanted a baby! When asked if they had a prayer request their response would be for a baby. Bailey prayed daily,I remember sharing it with you,to which you responded(paraphasing We are Done!)Bailey even had a sad day when our class 1st pregancy was announced.Quickly the Lord said teach the children about prayer and praise. After teaching the kids to rejoice after their prayer request, never ask again but start thanking God for their babies,4 children(Bailey being 1) began to praise God with tears running down their cheeks, hands lifted and feeting jumping! Bless God 3 of those children Moms are expecting! 1 even cried telling me days later her Mom said No! Thus more praise and faith lessons! I saw you last week briefly & commented how beautiful you looked and tonight when I walked up to church Bailey came bursting through the door Auntie Sakinah My Mommy is having a baby! Lil Earl chimmed in with excitment and a group of women standing outside began to say I knew it that’s why she is glowing!Bless the Lord our God for the plan he has for U! Congrats on your Blog too!Love U guys Sakinah

Wow Sakinah! That is really something. I knew Bailey and Earl talked about another baby but I always brushed them off because I was done! LOL! And after I got pregnant, they started talking about it more and more but they didn’t know yet! When we did tell them, they just screamed and jumped and hugged us!! They smiled all night. But they are so excited and ready. I know Bailee is going to be the second mama!! She is already ready! Thanks again for the prayers and continuing to allow my kids to praise, pray and worship! That’s one of the best things I love about her school!
