A few months ago I joined the Youfit family just in time for the YouFit Countdown to Change Challenge – 60 Days to a Slimmer, Healthier You.
Over 60 days, we weighed in 3 times. Our final weigh in was last week. I was actually nervous because my goal was to gain 5-7 pounds of muscle and get more tone. My husband’s goal was to become more muscular as well, as we both like our current size.
For the countdown to change challenge, Youfit offered boot camp classes with their personal training staff. Unfortunately, we didn’t make any of those classes because of the time of day. We have three children with 3 different school start & end times so we couldn’t make it happen.
However, we were able to take advantage of the 28 classes they offer that fit in our schedule. Over the course of 60 days, I fell in love with Bodypump & Total sculpt classes.
When we weren’t in classes, we were at Youfit on the weight machines. Our goal is workout no less than 3 days a week.
The Final Results
I actually lost 3 pounds.
I am not sure if that is good or bad because I wanted to gain muscle. I learned through my 1 on 1 session with the Youfit coach, that it will take around 6-7 months to gain muscle. In addition to gaining muscle, you have to lose fat first or your muscle will just be sitting under fat. So . . . maybe that 3 pounds I lost was fat.
My husband was a only a few pounds down as well but you can see a nice transformation.

So what’s next for us. We love the progress we’ve made and will continue to work out. We have learned in order to stay healthy and feel young we must incorporate exercise and strength training.
