Back in December my friends and I started a Fly By July competition. We all planned to attend the Essence Festival this year in New Orleans and wanted to look our absolute best. Over the course of 6 months, we all worked out and had a great time talking trash to each other along the way.
July is here and whether we feel we have reached our goal or not, we have all taken our July pictures to post and let you all be the judge. Collie, lost 8 pounds and ended up not going to Essence. She is happy with her weight and will continue to workout, eat healthy and tone to define her shape.
Aseelah, actually maintained her weight by walking, riding her bike and in the last few weeks she started lifting weights. She started to define her shape and looks great!
Now onto me…the day I left for Essence I got on the scale and I weighed 138. My personal goal was 135. I lost about 10 pounds in my fly by July challenge and I am very happy with my results. I actually got down to my pre-baby #2 weight. Now my 20th year high school reunion is in November, so you know what that means! #FlybyNovember
What did I personally do to get in “better” shape?
- I try to limit processed food as much as possible.
- I eat alot of fruit and veggies and do many meatless days.
- I always find a way to fit in exercise. I walk, ride my bike and do many workout videos at least 5 days a week.
- Right now my favorite two videos I watch on Youtube are Fitness Blender & XHIT.
