https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/7acpjee9vfctuei7uv5e5gtpso We are back! I created W.I.F.E (Why Isn’t Forever Easy) in 2010 and ran the Blog/YouTube channel for 2 years. I believe it was going pretty well, but LIFE happened (things that had nothing to do with the blog) and I stopped doing it. Instead of picking it back up, I created BernettaStyle.com. I added a W.I.F.E section to the blog so I could still write about topics related to married women, but honestly it’s not the same. To this day, I still get people telling me to bring it back! In 2014 enters Janelle McLeod! She approached me with a great idea for a WIFE Entrepreneur Show with a great concept. She is a SAVVY, business women. Did I mention savvy? She juggles so much and makes it look effortless. After we had our initial meeting, we had similar ideas and because I already had the W.I.F.E foundation we decided to bring it back and RE-BUILD on it together. We are so excited about the RETURN of W.I.F.E and are looking forward to our first Google + Hangout. We will discuss two great topics:
- Is there a difference between compromise & settling?
- In 2014 is submitting still necessary?
To attend the hangout please RSVP at: https://www.facebook.com/events/542266152559525/See More and we will post the link 30 minutes prior. Why was W.I.F.E created? When I initially got married I was so excited. I was in love, happy, and ready to conquer the world with my husband. Then, something changed. Life. It wasn’t necessarily something that my husband did or didn’t do but marriage is not always what you think it will be (just like parenthood) until you are IN it. I noticed my “happy” glow was starting to fade but everyone around me still appeared to have theirs. I honestly felt I couldn’t talk to anyone about my emotions because everyone was walking around so damn happy!! So, I decided to break the ice and tell two friends about my idea, W.I.F.E which stands for Why Isn’t Forever Easy – literally because it is not. A lot of things happen between “I do!” and “Forever” and many don’t make it. What I quickly learned is that so many women (& men) are quietly going through the same things and being silent about it. When I started W.I.F.E, it seemed like it was a breath of fresh air for so many women. Honestly, while I am writing this I am getting goose bumps all over again. Why did I ever stop? I am so grateful for Janelle!! We are ready to rock this out this time around!
