Motherhood Monday

Motherhood Monday :: Weekend Recap

This weekend was a long one, but enjoyable.

Earl and Bailee

Disney

For me it started on Thursday. After work we took our son to his football practice and then head to Disney on Ice at Philips Arena. It was a good show. The kids really enjoyed it. What I liked was that they showed every princess this time. The story line was about Mickey & Minnie finding love and traveling through different worlds. Disney did an excellent job. Two Thumbs Up!

Friday, my children were given a chance to speak about money on the HLN network. It was a cool opportunity that came to me Thursday, so I jumped on it. The filming was at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta. They have a new display called Moneyville, which teaches the kids different aspects of Money. My children were given a line to read and then asked what do they know about money. I was caught off guard because they then asked me a question on camera. I promise I would have done my hair different and even wore something else if I knew I would be on HLN!!! But the saying goes, “Be ye always ready!”  After that, we took the kids to SkyZone & Mountaisa for more Friday Fun!

Saturday started early for me. My son had a two game double-header! They won both and are currently UNDEFEATED!! After his game, I rushed home to prepare for my Fashion Swap. Ooooooooh, the Fashion Swap. I hope the ladies that did come had a great time. We had a great make up artist come and teach us how to do the in famous Smokey Eye! (Latoicha, www.Luxetips.com). We also did a few giveaways.  Excuse me for lack of Swap pictures. I didn’t take a lot. I was just too involved.

Sunday was another long day. We started the day off with Church. After church we ate at my friend’s new Restaurant April’s Place (review coming soon!). Later that evening, I attended a Red Carpet Meet & Greet for a new Atlanta reality Show called Salon Interventions (Salon E.R.). They actually start filming later this month. We were able to meet the cast and sponsors of the show.

Then home to watch Revenge and my new guilty pleasure Betrayal! Hope your weekend was FAB!
