I thought alot about what I would show in terms of color. At first I thought I would tell about my favorite colors (Black & Green) and what they mean to me, then I saw this picture. My husband was actually reading online and said “Hey Babe, look at this!” He showed me this picture of these beautiful colorful mountatins. They are called the Rainbow Mountain in China.
No, this isn’t a painting stolen from a Holiday Inn and you’re not having some kind of extra-vivid fever dream. These incredible images are actual views of a danxia formation in a mountain range in southeast China. (Danxia translates to “rosy cloud,” which seems appropriate.) The moutains’ eye-popping rainbow colors are the result of different colors of sandstone being pressed into distinct layers over several million years. The entire region was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, one of 40 World Heritage sites scattered throughout the country. “Its unique features cannot be replaced by any other heritage site,” a UNESCO spokesperson said. “China danxia has an outstanding universal and worldwide value.”
Another great example of Gods wonderful work. I love seeing things in natural that are not man made. To see more images of these beautiful mountains visit here.
